Portable Perimeter Security and Access Control Technology
Access control refers to the practice of restricting entry to a construction site, a building, or a room to unauthorized persons while allowing authorized individuals to pass through with some level of ease. Physical access control can be achieved by a security guard or through some form of access control.
Physical access control all comes down to when, where, and how an authorized individual is granted entry to a specific area like a construction site or physical location. Access control technology determines who is allowed to enter or exit, where they are allowed to exit or enter, and when they are allowed to enter or exit.
In the past, access control has sometimes been accomplished by something as simple as a lock and key. However, as technologies have advanced, newer forms of access control technologies have become more and more prevalent in the world of physical security.
Access control technologies like card readers, RFID readers, and biometric identifiers like hand geometry scanners, IRIS scanners, and many more have been put in use.
When a predetermined credential is presented to an access control reader, the reader sends the informationto a database that then determines whether or not the individual is granted access to that location.
Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) has installed a wide range of these access control technologies into our patented Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal and have delivered these perimeter security solutions to construction sites around the world.
