Everybody is asking "How Much Do Turnstiles Cost?"

The first question most patented MAC Portal customers ask and want to know is: How much does a turnstile cost? Although this can be a tough question to answer, we here at Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) will try to point out some basic pricing ground rules.

The purchase of a security turnstile is a lot like purchasing a home or a major appliance. With a wide range of options available, turnstile pricing can vary. Just as with the purchase of a home, amenities such as location, square footage, and additional luxuries can quickly drive up the price. Taking into consideration that the average home in the United States sells for $188,000 and knowing that this average is merely a median with homes priced both well below and well above that price, the same can be said for turnstiles. So why do so many people choose to get so many different types of homes – and  turnstiles? The quick answer is because not all people want and need the same functionality out of their homes – or turnstiles. Most people know the importance of getting what they want the first time to avoid buyer’s remorse down the road. Because most Americans spend the majority of their lives in their homes, they want to make sure their home will provide them with convenience, condition, and the durability to last a lifetime. These same aspects apply to the purchase of a turnstile or turnstiles for a major industrial or commercial construction company. Knowing that they are going to have to use their turnstiles daily for the security of their locations, as well as knowing that choosing the right turnstile with the right options the first time around is of the utmost importance to ensure maximum usefulness with minimum maintenance, most turnstile purchasers opt to get the turnstile that will work the best and last for years.

There are a wide range of feasible options available when it comes to purchasing a turnstile and these options can cause the price of a turnstile to go up or down. As a realtor weighs a home buyer’s options while quoting prices on the purchase of a home, when we give a quote to our customers we look thoroughly at each option to provide the right benefits of our turnstile products to each individual customer.  With each quote, we discuss with the purchaser their needs and identify their individual requirements to achieve overall security success on their projects.

When a request for quote is made by our customers we take into consideration all of their security and access control needs. When a request for quote is made as to how much a patented MAC Portal or turnstile costs, the extent of options is always a key factor. What we mean by this is that as a company, we have a wide range of options to offer and unlike many security companies, we will do as much or as little as our customers need us to do in order to meet their needs. Our ability to work with customers leads to less stress and more savings for our security-minded customers. We offer numerous packages to assure that our customers get the security solutions they need. Some of these packages and corresponding prices range from and include:

1. The total package: This package includes the complete off-site engineering, designing, manufacturing, and delivery of a Patented MAC Portal with turnstile lanes ranging from 1-10 in a single patented MAC Portal, access control of our customer’s choosing pre-installed in the unit, climate-controlled guard offices (if needed) and delivery to our customer’s location. This option provides the best in ease of use and installation for our customers. With the delivery of one of these completed units, all that needs to be done once a unit arrives on-site is for the unit to be put in a fence line, connected to power, and its' ready to be used for controlling access to the site. Minimum work needed on-site! This package may cost anywhere from $6,000-$10,000 per turnstile lane* depending on access control options.

2. The Patented MAC Portal minus Access Control Technology: This package includes the engineering, designing, manufacturing, and delivery of a Patented MAC Portal without the access control technology pre-installed. We essentially send you a MAC Portal with the turnstile lanes and guard office (if needed) to your site where you or a security contractor will install the access control technology of your choosing. This package may cost anywhere from $4,000-$6,000 per turnstile lane* depending on turnstile and access control technology "tie-in" capabilities.

As you can see, the price ranges for turnstiles and turnstile lanes ranges quite a bit based on individual project needs. When purchasing a turnstile and a portable perimeter security solution like the Patented Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal we ask that you consider all options thoroughly before making a decision to purchase.
