Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) was proud to witness the running of the first High School Cross Country Event ever held at the Ashland Regional Airport on October 9th in Worthington, Kentucky. As noted in the Ashland Daily Independent article "Russell's Flying High" this was the first time a cross country event has ever been held at the Ashland Regional Airport. With ongoing track repairs taking place at Russell High School the airport, givens it's location and layout, provided the perfect substitute. Having a manufacturing facility adjacent to the airport we here at MSSI get to witness the take off and landing of a wide range of aircraft but rarely get to see flying such as the type that took place on Tuesday. The runners at this weeks cross country event are from high schools across Kentucky and neighboring states.
Several members of the MSSI staff were on site to witness the event and cheer on the runners.
"Events like this... Building a strong relationship with the airport staff and members of the various communities in the Tri-State area of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky has given MSSI the opportunity to effectively create jobs, increase its' staff of skilled workers, and deliver customized ISO container modifications like the Patented Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal to customers around the world", stated Tim Hopkins, MSSI Quality Control Manager.
