Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) has been building Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals since 2005. From then to today the MAC Portal, like most new products, has gone through a number of changes to improve both the functionality and aesthetic qualities. In this weeks edition of the Turnstile Blog we will take a look back at some of the Patented MAC Portals MSSI has provided to its' customers. Above is probably one of the first of 4 units that MSSI sold to a Marathon refinery in Cattlettsburg, Ky in 2005. These same turnstiles in MAC Portals can be found currently in use at the same location. Visible from Route 23 in Catlettsburg these Patented MAC Portals are used to this day as access control security, time keeping, and payroll for additional workers at the refinery.
From this first Marathon unit to today Patented MAC Portals have taken a number of forms with various floor plans and aesthetic difference. Below are just few of the MAC Portals that have been built in the past 8 years of business.
