Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) has just completed construction on a new custom Vehicle Access Control (VAC) Portal with a guard office and a restroom. This custom VAC Portal (Patent Pending) has been built to the customer specified 10' x 40' dimensions and includes a fully functioning restroom that will be plumbed into existing water lines once it arrives on site. Complete with two vehicle barrier arms on the ends of the unit this VAC Portal will be able to maintain perimeter security for vehicles making their way onto the General Mills facility in Wellston, Ohio.
Having purchased Patented Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals from MSSI in the past the facility security administrators new exactly where to turn for this custom perimeter security solution with vehicle barrier arms and a guard office.
Aside from the custom dimensions and the restroom this VAC Portal is much like VAC Portals MSSI has built in the past.
VAC Portals for vehicle traffic control begin their life as an ISO shipping container made of 16 gauge COR-TEN steel much like Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals and are made to be transported using a fork lift, crane, and truck.
Installing vehicle barrier arms with the portability of custom designed steel bases and ISO shipping containers MSSI has come up with yet another perimeter security solution that can be put into use in one location and then moved to another location when needed. The first VAC Portal built had an 8' x 10' office with two vehicle barrier arms. Since building it the VAC Portal has seen a number of changes to adapt to the varying needs of specific locations and customers. Much like this custom vehicle access control unit VAC Portals have been built to meet site specific requirements. In the past year MSSI has built a wide range of custom vehicle access control solutions with and without guard offices ranging in sizes from 8' x 10', 8' x 20', and 8' x 40'.
