Modular Security Systems Inc. has just recently delivered on a new custom Vehicle Access Control (VAC) Portal with a SOLAR Power package (patent pending). This SOLAR Powered VAC Portal is undergoing testing this week at the customers location outside of Houston, Texas where if successful the site plans on ordering 30 more of these patent pending products to add to their perimeter security. Given the lack of electrical connections in remote locations these SOLAR Powered vehicle access control gates give customers the added flexibility to provide perimeter security without the hassle of running power lines. After only a few hours of charging in the sun this VAC Portal can store enough energy to operate the vehicle barrier arms through 1000 cycles.
As noted on the SOLAR Power VAC Portal page at SecuredByMAC.com the VAC Portal comes complete with a solar power system, vehicle barrier arms, and a steel base that is built to be delivered and off loaded as one self contained unit.
Simply allow the solar power system to charge and you're ready to start maintain vehicle access control in almost any remote location.

Given the growing interest in SOLAR Powered options MSSI has preemptively began installing and testing solar panels on other perimeter security solutions at the manufacturing headquarters in Worthington, Ky. MSSI is currently testing solar power packages on smaller MAC Portals like the MAC-1 and the MAC-2 DuoCon. Without the need to supply power to HVACs that typically draw a significant amount of power these MAC Portals without offices make too much sense to not be the next step in solar powered perimeter solutions offered by MSSI.
