Pictured here is an example to illustrate the Turnstile Flow Calculators functionality. In this example a customer would estimate 1000 employees (per shift change) and a desired shift change timeline of 30 minutes. Given those parameters the turnstile flow calculator shows a need for 5 turnstile lanes in order to process that number of employees in that length of time. With an average throughput of 34 employees per minute a MAC-5 (guard shack with five turnstiles) would be required.
Pictured here is an illustration where the same amount of time is needed to process 500 employees. Given this number of employees and the 30 minute shift change the turnstile flow calculator estimates a need for 3 turnstile lanes with an average throughput of 17 employees per minute. Here a MAC-3 (guard shack with three turnstiles) is all that is needed.
