Tied into the fenceline and ready to secure a major nuclear facility these twin modular conex turnstile modifications are fully operational. When the site originally contacted MSSI they were very interested in the standard Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal, but needed a more robust unit that offered visitors and employees additional space to get in out of the weather as they make their way through security. With that the V-Series Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal was born. By tying an additional conex on either side of a standard MAC Portal vestibules or hallways were created to meet the customers needs.
These V-Series MAC Portals, which are essentially access control gates, combine the use of multiple conex boxes and turnstiles to create a modular guardhouse that can be delivered and assembled on site significantly quicker and cheaper than traditional stick-built structures. With the addition of the exterior facade MSSI has also worked closely with the site to insure that their V-Series unit matches existing structures at the plant. "A great deal of our customer are obviously concerned with the functionality of a MAC Portal, but along with that they want an security gate that is aesthetically pleasing as well", noted Kevin Harrison. "By offering a wide selection of exterior coverings we've been able to build V-Series MAC Portals out of conex boxes and turnstiles that looking nothing like a shipping container inside and out."
