MAC-1 Rental, 1 turnstile rental, turnstile, turnstiles, turnstile rental

Modular Security Systems, Inc. (MSSI) has to date focused primarily on the selling of it’s patented MAC portal. The mobile turnstile conex that MSSI manufactures and sells is a mobile access control portal that can be equipped with any type of biometric, card reader system, or camera system that a customer might need. These modular turnstile buildings are then shipped in a “turnkey” state anyplace in the world where a customer might need to address access control in a timely manner. Early in 2010 MSSI executives made a business model decision to create a rental fleet of these mobile turnstile conex containers and market them at a fairly appealing price. Since the creation of this turnstile container rental fleet MSSI has rented the MAC security portals to refineries, power plants, commercial construction sites as well as steel manufactures.

Rob Slagel, Co-President of MSSI had this to say about the new rental program; “We at MSSI feel that the new rental fleet of MAC’s will be well received by our customers who need a mobile turnstile unit in a container for their access control needs. This modular turnstile building now being offered in a rental option should please our customers who have a need for a MAC for a short project or shorter time duration where the purchase of a mobile turnstile connex might not be as appealing.”

Over the past 50 plus years the prefabricated building industry has been building guard booths and guardhouses as security units at plant and construction sites across the United States. The prefabricated building for -Guard Shacks without Turnstilesguard booths and guard houses is no new product and is fairly ubiquitous throughout construction and plant sites across the US and world. Though the guardhouse is no new invention the modular turnstile building or turnstile conex is a new invention and is becoming a staple on construction sites throughout the world. The U. S. Patent and Trade Mark Office is recognizing this mobile turnstile conex as a new invention by awarding MSSI a recent patent for this unique invention of a prefabricated building to serve as a guard booth.

David Slagel, Co-President of Modular Security Systems, Inc. (MSSI) has this to say about the new invention; “Our new invention of a mobile turnstile conex, that will serve as a guard house or guard booth will revolutionize the construction industry. This mobile turnstile conex or modular turnstile building is quickly replacing the out dated “brass shacks” guard house that has been previously used on construction sites for access control around the world. The MAC Security portal will also allow sites required to comply with MARSEC laws to come into immediate compliance. Our mobile turnstile conex buildings will allow industrial facilities to come into rapid compliance with MARSEC rules and laws.”

MSSI, MAC Portal, Modular Security Systems, Turnstiles in a guardhouse

This week in Columbus, Ohio hundreds of AEP employees, vendors, and guest utility representatives gathered for the AEP BRO Forum to share cutting edge industry  knowledge and technology. A Vendor Expo of over 150 vendor booths and breakout conference sessions provided an informational venue for an abundance of boiler experts and subject matter.  According to AEP representatives at the show, this year's event included even more networking and information sharing opportunities than in the past.

Modular Security Systems Inc. was at the AEP BRO Forum in Columbus to represent it's wide array of custom container modifications including the Modular Access Control (MAC) Portal, the V-Series MAC Portal, and the Guard Shack. Having worked on numerous AEP locations around the country including the John Amos Power Plant, the Conesville Power Plant, the Kyger Creek Power Plant, and the JW Turk Power plant  MSSI felt right at home at the show.

A number of AEP field and office representatives stopped by the booth after recognizing MSSI products that they'd seen on site at power plants across the country. Over the years MSSI has made it's presence known within the AEP system. "We've done a pretty good amount of business with AEP and AEP site accross the country and the BRO Forum just makes sense for us to attend. It was a great opportunity to meet with old friends and customers within AEP and I'm sure we'll be back again next year", stated President/Owner of MSSI. Rob Slagel.

V-Series MAC Portal, Turnstiles in a portable guardhouse, security turnstilesModular Security Systems Inc. prepares another high security turnstile and shipping container combination, the V-Series MAC Portal, for shipment. This new unit will be shipped, per the customers request, with the standard MSSI blue paint and SecuredbyMAC.com signage. Although the majority of V-Series MAC Portals have been fitted with an exterior facade this modular, full height turnstile security unit was ordered to look similar, not to existing structures on site, but to match the other MAC Portals the customer already has on location.

Having provided standard Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals to the customer in the past MSSI had developed a good working relationship when it came to design and implementation of their MAC. This time the customer wanted a larger structure at the main entrance to their facility that would match up to standard MAC Portals located at smaller additional entrances to the site. Like all V-Series MAC Portals this unit comes complete with entrance and exit vestibules, a guard office, and full height high security turnstiles integrated with access control technology.

In an ideal world a construction site or industrial plant should have only one access point that allows for close monitoring of individuals entering and exiting the site. Employee, vendor, and guest parking areas should always be located outside the perimeter of a construction fence or in a clearly designated area within the fence line. Workers should also be easily recognizable by credentials that identify them as someone allowed to access the work area.

High quality fencing around your perimeter is more often than not the first line of defense against trespassers and unauthorized individuals from entering your facility. Once an 8' fence has been installed around your perimeter the Modular Access Control (MAC)full height, high security turnstiles and access control technologies, including proximity card readers, hand geometry readers, and iris scanning detection MSSI can deliver the MAC Portal fence line ready to install. For sites where more than one entry/exit point multiple MAC Portals can also be installed at a major cost savings in comparison to traditional stick built structures.   Portal can be utilized to solve the rest of your problems. Modular Security Systems Inc. (MSSI) has, based on customer demand, began construction on new V-Series Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals. In preparation to modify these portable guardhouses with access control turnstiles these 45' high cube shipping containers have been cut and are being prepared to be pulled together. As with all Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals these portable guard shacks with full height turnstiles are built out of 16 gauge corten steel ISO shipping containers as their backbone. Once they are cut to the appropriate dimensions these units will be fully insulated with customer specified flooring, wall finishings, over head lighting, access control technology and high security turnstiles.

Unlike most V-Series MAC Portals this modular guard shack with access control turnstiles will be delivered without an exterior facade. The customer, having purchased standard Modular Access Control (MAC) Portals in the past, chose to stick with the blue painted exterior as opposed to having the fiber cement facade installed. Once completed this guard office with full height security turnstiles will be loaded and shipped for on site installation, saving the customer a significant amount of time and money as compared to traditional stick built structures.
